GARDEN CINEMA FAQ'S

DO I NEED A LICENCE TO SHOW A FILM?

No, you don't need a licence to watch a film. Its' much like inviting friends and family over to watch the latest blockbuster in your living room... but you're in your garden instead!
Our equipment is not allowed to be used for public events unless this has been arranged before the hire.

CAN I WATCH A FILM IN DAYLIGHT?

Yes, sort of!

You will need to wait until there is no direct sunlight on the screen. The darker the sky the better the image becomes! 


It may be that your garden has no direct sunlight from around 7pm, so you will be able to see the projected image from then on. The best time to start your viewing is typically 15-20 minutes before sunset.

CAN I USE THE PROJECTOR IN THE RAIN?

No. Our equipment is not designed or rated for use in the wet. In the event of rain, all equipment (with the exception of the screen) should be put under cover.

WILL WE GET SURROUND SOUND?

Most outdoor cinemas do not use surround sound. The packages advertised on this site do not come with this. They do however come with either Silent Cinema Headphones or two full range, stand-mounted speakers either side of the screen. If your event requires something different please contact us to see how we can help.

CAN I CONNECT MY LAPTOP TO THE PROJECTOR?

Yes, absolutely. The connection to the projector works in much the same way as your TV. You can hook up a laptop, games consoles, Fire TV etc. The only requirement is that it has a HDMI output.

CAN WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

Unfortunately, we do not allow collection and delivery of our systems.  This is due to the complexity of setting them up correctly and the risk of damage.  Delivery and setup is included in our pricing however, some additional delivery charges may apply depending on your location.

WHAT ARE THE HIRE TIMES?

Typically we will set-up in the afternoon between 4-6pm. Once setup, you will be shown how to use the equipment, and the hire will finish between midnight and 1am when collection will begin. If your event requires different timings please contact us to see how we can help.

WHAT IF WE HAVE A TECHNICAL ISSUE?

In the unlikely event that you encounter any issues once the equipment has been setup and our friendly technician has left, we are just a phone call away from providing expert advice to get you back up and running in no time at all. If we can't fix the problem over the phone, a technician will come out to rectify any issues as quickly as possible.
